Becoming an “advocate” is one of the easiest and most impactful ways to support Giving Day—besides making your own gift. As an advocate, you’ll encourage friends and family to Give Like a Duke—and you can even earn exclusive JMU swag along the way!


Step 1: Sign up

At the top of the Giving Day homepage, click the purple "Become an Advocate" button to create your advocate account.

Step 2: Spread the word on Giving Day (February 27) 

Use your custom advocate link and your Advocate Dashboard to share Giving Day with your network via social media, email, and text—encouraging others to give!

Step 3: Earn rewards

Your link is unique to you as an advocate. Every time someone clicks your link and donates, the Giving Day website automatically tracks your results, and you’ll earn JMU swag based on your advocacy.
