βResearch to Impact helps translate ideas into action, discoveries into solutions, and innovations into impact.β
From breakthroughs that detect impaired driving to new treatments for chronic cough, JMU innovators create discoveries that change lives. Moving an idea from lab to launch takes more than research—it takes guidance, connections, and support. Faculty and student innovators need help navigating patents, partnerships, and prototypes to bring their ideas to the world.
That's where Research to Impact (R2I) steps in. We walk beside JMU innovators on their journey, connecting them to mentors, experts, and on- and off-campus resources that move their ideas forward.
To support this work, R2I is highlighting two funds this Giving Day.
- The James Madison Innovations Startup Fund helps professors and students bring discoveries and inventions to market by providing the early support needed to launch new ideas.
- Research and Scholarship supports faculty and staff in securing external grant funding and developing new and emerging academic programs, helping expand innovation and opportunity across campus. Together, these funds move ideas from concept to real-world impact.
At R2I, we help translate ideas into action, discoveries into solutions, and innovations into impact.
Give to Research to Impact to keep that momentum going.
