Create Student Work-Based Learning for Global Humanitarian Impact.
“Giving to CISR means giving to students like me, who want to use their time at JMU to explore all the resources and opportunities available to them. For me, working with CISR has helped me gain insight into issues facing the humanitarian sector and helped me envision my future career in global humanitarianism. Your donation would help continue this legacy.”
—CISR student intern Cece Walker, ‘27
The Center for International Stabilization and Recovery (CISR) connects JMU students and faculty to the needs of global partners in the humanitarian and security sectors. CISR’s special expertise is assisting landmine removal organizations to make land safe, educate civilians about the risks posed by mines and unexploded bombs, and support those injured or impacted by these deadly legacies of war.
With your support, CISR translates JMU’s world-class research and teaching into tangible impact that makes the world safer.
Open doors for more JMU students to work and intern with CISR. Meaningful work-based learning experiences are essential for launching students’ emerging humanitarian and public service careers.
